Arcadia Festival at Kingsland Church September 2016

Arcadia Festival at Kingsland Church September 2016

Founded by violinist Thomas Bowes and composer/pianist Eleanor Alberga, the 7th Arcadia Music Festival made a sensational return to Kingsland Church performing evocative and moving pieces by Walton, Schoenburg, Ravel and Elgar on the theme of ‘Home and Abroad”.

Exploring the experiences, emotions and creativity of composers who have travelled widely and those who have stayed at home, Tom and Eleanor were joined by other international performers – Patrick Kiernan, violin; Louise Williams, viola; Sally Pendlebury. cello; Jeremy Williams, Welsh baritone and Reciter and Peter Evans, piano. This concert and those performed at   St Mary Magdalene, Leintwardine and St Giles, Downton were recorded and will shortly be available on YouTube. See the Arcadia website for details.
